Welcome to Anacarty National School

Anacarty National School is a primary school in the Parish of Anacarty and Donohill in County Tipperary.

Our school plays a central role in the community and our past pupils have gone on to excel in academics, sports and the arts. As the Sixth Classes leave us each June we remind them that no matter which institution claims them in later years, they were ours first!

Growth and Learning

Growth and learning are the heart  of all we try to do with the children who are entrusted to our care.

We aim to do the very best we can for every child who comes into our school, to maximise their talents and potential, to give them a solid grounding in basic academic work and to open their eyes and minds to the world that awaits them.

We are committed to improving teaching and learning through the support of the parents and the Board of Management.

Our Mission Statement

Anacarty National is a co-educational Catholic Primary school that welcomes every one. All partners in the school community of Anacarty National School are committed to the provision of quality education to the young people in our care and to the development of the whole person, in a caring, happy and secure atmosphere.

The school aspires to nurture in the pupils a sense of their own self-worth and an awareness and understanding of the needs and differences of others.

The school, acknowledging that parents are the primary educators of their children, values and encourages their interest in and support of all our efforts.

While working as a team, the school respects the professionalism and individuality of each staff member. We strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.

Together we promote a code of discipline that is firm but kind and fair. Within a secure, happy environment we endeavour to foster the total well-being of every child within the context of their cultural and religious traditions.
